The Children’s March of 1963
We’ve talked about MLK and the Civil rights Movement. About the ability of the people to protest without violence and with respect to authority without retaliation.
Well, I chose this article, image, video, because it represents what it takes our country to make change happen. The children’s march is what led to a change in America. It brought shame to adults, seeing children do what they, the adults would postpone for “tomorrow”. It was a clear wake up call for President Kennedy and this can be seen that today with the protest of many students against gun violence. If anything, this march has taught us that even those who cannot make political change by voting can still change the world by civilly protesting against injustices. Because silence is not an answer to solving problems. You either act or sit still and one definitely brings more change to the world than the other one.

I chose this image because it speaks about the reality women and all sexually abused victims have to endured. It is very unfortunate that Kavanaugh was elected to be part of the supreme court. It really goes to show that the government is all for benefiting white privileged men. This man was clearly privileged and not having been elected would have not been the end of the world. But we sadly just know that no matter how many times we the people point out the flaws, those who have the power to do something are just too afraid of loosing the power they have over us. Its ver upsetting.
